Copper (Cu) is a base metal. Copper occasionally occurs at the native element, and sometimes large copper nuggets are found in placers. However most is mined from hard-rock copper ores containing copper minerals notably sulphides, sulphates and carbonates. Today most copper is produced from so-called copper porphyries such as at in the Andes, Erdenet in north Mongolia and Oyu Tolgoi in the Gobi Desert.

Nickel prices are quoted in Pound weight. 

Nickel (Ni) is a base metal. Nickel does not occur as the native element, and most nickel has been produced from nickel sulphide ores such as those of Sudbury, Ontario. In recent decades, nickel has been increasingly mined from nickel-cobalt laterite by high pressure chemical leaching, such as the Ni-Co laterites in north Kazakhstan and Western Australia.

ALUMINIUM-ZINC-LEAD PRICE LATEST
